Day-to-day activities will include:

Work with the Project Manager for each project to:
  • Develop and maintain project plans, and agree how best to approach things- define tasks and packages of work, assign these to relevant members of the Project Team and track their progress
  • Continuously review the project plan and requirements and track progress - make changes or additions, flagging any issues, risks, or dependencies
  • Act a central point of focus to make sure that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities and are involved in an appropriate way
  • Work with the PMO to provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, the Project Manager, and the Project Team
  • Support the Project Manager in identifying, controlling and mitigating (and where necessary escalating) Risks and Issues
  • Support project meetings and workshops

Key candidate requirements for the role:
  • Have at least one to two years' experience working in a Project Management environment
  • You'll have built up strong skills in delivery, planning and problem-solving, working through what needs to be done, by who and by when
  • You'll also be confident at identifying and monitoring risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Prior experience of working in a government setting would be an advantage
  • You will have an understanding and experience of key Project Management methodologies
  • You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of using MS Project, Asana, and Jira would be an advantage
  • Being adaptable and responsive - you'll use a range of techniques and see what works, and ideally you'll be experienced in working in Agile and/or fast moving and complex environments
  • Explaining complicated things simply and clearly, and explaining your logic
  • Building relationships quickly with lots of different people
