SwallowTech are seeking to recruit an experienced and talented Database Applications Support Analyst for a full-time position, joining our London operation.

SwallowTech is a long established specialist provider of software to the banking industry in the areas of reconciliation, liquidity management and Anti Money Laundering with clients across the World.

The successful candidate will work directly with technical staff and business users.

Responsibilities of the successful Database Application Support Analyst:

  • Analyse complex business requirements for new development and enhancements, producing functional and technical specifications for software and data structure.
  • Apply innovative problem solving skills, challenging requirements to improve the strategic solution.
  • Partner with developers to ensure requirements are implemented as per specification.
  • Troubleshoot production issues.
  • Produce and validate test cases. Also participating in testing.
  • Regular on-site consultations.

Skills and Requirements - Essential

  • Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Good technical business analysis skills, most desirable if relevant to treasury/cash management.
  • Business/technical knowledge of SWIFT (MT/MX) in respect of payments.
  • First Class communication skills, translating effectively across business and technical domains.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.

Skills and Requirements - Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a highly numerate subject.
  • Experience of scripting languages for Unix and DOS
  • Previous involvement in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in design of, or technical exposure to, high performance systems, preferably in areas of big data, data analysis/aggregation.
  • SQL Server Transact-SQL.
