Are you a Scrum Master Project Manager who’d love to be involved from the start in greenfield development of a new market leading software system? Would you thrive in a fast paced agile environment within software development?

What’s involved?

The company, based in Lancashire, are about to embark on building the next generation of their system and product suite. Rather than building on the current system they are embarking on greenfield product development – building the new system almost completely from the ground up. It will be based on the latest Microsoft technology: .NET core, MVVm and VWP and based around Windows 10.

You will be involved from day one and will play a pivotal role in its success. A detailed 2 year road map is in place and there will be major input and influence from the external customer base to ensure it delivers what the industry wants. The first scrum team is in place with the company moving successfully from waterfall to agile over the last 18 months.

Your next role?

The scrum teams will be focused on the successful delivery of the new system and associated applications. As Scrum Master you will initially work with a scrum team of around 7 made up of product owner, developers and testers, before taking additional responsibility for another scrum team of the same size and structure.

Involved in all of the usual scrum master activities - daily stand-ups and fortnightly sprints; sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives; burndowns and burnups; leading and facilitating; guiding and coaching. You’ll be mentoring and developing the team as well as carrying out appraisals and identifying personal development plans. You’ll facilitate discussions, create a collaborative environment, remove impediments and facilitate successful delivery engendering an environment based on community, collaboration, trust, empathy and ethics.

Working very closely with the Product Owner you’ll also get involved with product planning, envisioning, roadmaps and releases while projecting and picturing the product vision.

You?

A certified Scrum Master (CSM or CSP) with commercial experience of working in a fast paced agile software development environment. You’ll naturally be a fantastic communicator who can motivate, mentor and guide scrum teams. A great listener and facilitator with commitment to growth, foresight, and the ability to build community creating an environment based on collaboration, trust, empathy and ethics. Bright, articulate and highly motivated you will be great to be around and be seen as a role model within the business.
