Due to continued growth, my client is looking on expanding their management structure to help develop the business; due to this expansion and company development they are now looking to re-structure and recruit a new QHSE manager to work closely with senior managers to improve the company’s QHSE Standards and oversee the company's Health & Safety Management System.

The Role

•Ensure the company follows all legal and other requirements relating to HSE. Coordinate and liaise with company’s certification bodies.
•Coordinate and execute HSE inspections & audits on site.
•Lead cultural change within the business to ensure continuous improvement.
•Monitor quality requirements in accordance with company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
•Work with other company personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
•To drive and implement the company to achieve a quality management registration ISO 9001:2015.
•Perform accurate physical and visual inspection of goods inwards and raw materials.
•Check quality and accuracy of components and sub-assemblies as per production requirements.
•Conduct and manage shop floor stage and final inspections, with a view to reducing errors and costs.
•Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to measure to cost of quality.
•Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment and factor plant, machines, and equipment.
•Maintain and action NCR activity from shop floor and from customer/supplier based NCR’s.
•Liaise with customer and supplier QA/HSE department regarding audits and contractual requirements.
•Liaise with Operations manager/director on the formulation of QHSE policies objectives and targets.

The Candidate

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
•Robust knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation & best practice and appropriate industry specific qualifications (NEBOSH & IEMA, Auditor Training).
•ISO 9001:2015 qualified.
•Experienced Manager with experience of hard service delivery within a fast pace manufacturing facility.
•Experience of implementing and maintaining QHSE systems across an Integrated business.
•Role Model for Managing Change and good analytic skills.
•Full UK driving license.
•Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office.
