Payroll Manager - £55k to £60k + Bens - South West London

A leading UK Private Bank currently seek an experienced Payroll Manager to lead their team of 2 Payroll Assistants and drive the payroll offering for the Bank.

The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage and process the firms employee payrolls and ensure consistent compliance with statutory regulations. The Payroll Manager will deliver a robust payroll with high quality customer service to all business units within the Bank ensuring the team meets agreed service performance levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the monthly payroll payment processing in line with legislation and company policy

Recruit, train, mentor and develop the Payroll Team

Build and maintain strong relationships with Stakeholders and HR

Be the Subject Matter Expert on all payroll best practice, policies, process and operating procedures

Identify areas of improvement

Ensure the payroll schedule is adhered to

Support the Payroll Team with the monthly payrolls

Manage the processing of Compensation Year End reviews

Manage payments to third parties including HMRC

Administer Year End Payroll Processing and reporting

Provide monthly MI reports on payroll related KPIs

Be the lead on any payroll projects


Previous knowledge and experience of Payroll Management

Strong payroll systems knowledge

Experience of managing and motivating teams

Customer focused approach

Strong payroll legislation

Strong Excel
