Our client, one of the world's largest apparel companies and a global leader in jeans are currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager for their Southampton store. With over 500 stores worldwide, this business works on a culture of partnership and recognise that involvement of everyone is key to their success.


- To assist the Store Manager in the delivery of sales targets, and the running of an efficient, well-organized store in order to achieve optimum profitability.
- To act as a role model in order to support the development of a store team that upholds the brand image.
- To deliver premium levels of Customer Service through the effective management of store operations and the store Sales Specialist team
- To be a role model in active selling with strong commercial capabilities.
- Is aware of current targets, promotions, and campaigns in the store.
- Actively managing any internal promotions, ensuring at all times that the store team is also fully aware
- Daily/weekly meetings with all members of the Store Sales Specialist as directed by the Store Management. Incorporate daily store walks AM/before peak trade and End of Day to always deliver excellence in Floor standards, Stock levels and service standards.
- Support the Store Manager in induction training of new employees and ongoing training, coaching and mentoring of all subordinate store staff.
- Support the Store Management in dealing with local performance issues
- Manage store processes and adhere to operational guidelines to achieve optimum profitability.
- Drive solutions & actions generated through store/Management meetings/ visits & DM audits.

What we are looking for from you...

- Knowledge of Retail market's trading dynamics
- A good understanding of Leadership and attributes to people management
- Read and action on KPI's
- Financial acumen, ability to read P&L report
- Customer. Service dynamics
- Financial Budget management experience


- 33 days holiday including the bank holidays
- Monthly bonus up to 11.4% of their basic salary per month based on sales
- Quarterly bonus up to 3% of their basic salary based on managing payroll costs
- Pension - two options, government stakeholder pension or an enhanced option is available
- Free clothing allowance of £400 per quarter and 40% staff discount on top of this
