Norfolk and Suffolk

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role?

Are you ex-forces or have experience of that lifestyle?

Are you passionate about supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing?

We have an opportunity for a full-time post supporting families of veterans and serving armed forces who have issues with substance misuse. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, and providing information, support and advice to affected family members. You will not need to be a veteran, but will need to have an understanding of the forces lifestyle and empathise with the challenges that it brings.

The post will involve extensive travel across parts of Norfolk and Suffolk, therefore the ability to drive and access to a car is essential. Evening work may sometimes be necessary depending on the needs of the clients.

A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics and client case stories to support the future funding of the service, therefore you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.

The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across East Anglia giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. We have a vision to reach every part of the community in the most creative, effective and efficient ways. Through our varied services, young people and adults receive professional advice, information, counselling, support, care and education.

This post is funded by ABF the Soldiers' Charity.
