The Role:

- This is a home based role, with an office also located in Clerkenwell, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of the Sales team across the UK

- You will have 15 direct reports within the sales team, including mainly Field Sales individuals as well as an Internal Sales Manager who has 15 other reports in Internal Sales and Customer Support roles
- The Field Sales team will be selling the company's excellent range of innovative Power and Controls Solutions across the UK, with some going to Consultants and Contracts and others selling to Furniture manufacturers
- Whilst 75% of your focus will be on the management of your team, you will spend the rest of your time managing between 6-8 large Consultant and Contractor Key Accounts across a National Patch
- As part of your Sales Team Management responsibilities, you will be travelling to the Head office in the North of England once a week on average to meet with the Internal Sales Manager and staff based at Head Office
- In the role, you will have a large amount of input and responsibility for budgets, profit and loss, team targets and recruitment

The Ideal Person:

- It is essential that you have previous people management experience, ideally with a team of 10+ people and a £Multi Million turnover
- Ideally, this experience would have been gained whilst working for an Electrical Manufacturer, however the company are open to seeing individuals from well known Electrical Wholesalers and have held a Senior Position
- You must have a proven track record of selling to Consultants and Contractors, with a strong understanding of the processes involved
- It is essential that you are willing to commute to the Clerkenwell Showroom on a regular basis, as well as the Northern Head Office once a week on average and Nationally whenever needed to manage your Key Accounts
- A driven and focussed mindset is needed for the role, and with a strategic approach you will have an understanding of high level budgeting as well as profit and loss
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential in the role as you will be speaking to people across all levels
- In this role it is essential that you lead by example and motivate your sales team to grow the business and increase turnover
