Role: Improvement Manager - Construction
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Bristol with travel Hinkley Point C

PURPOSE
Improvement Manager(s) are sought to join Construction Data and Technology Integration team on Hinkley Point C project undertaking Main Civil Works.

The Construction Data and Technology Integration team works across all project functions with the aim to enhance efficiency of project delivery and reduce risk associated with project complexity and scale. The team acts as internal consultants and change managers supporting other project functions with the choice and implementation of processes and technology tools.

As an Improvement Manager you will analyse existing working practices and identify ways to reduce risk, improve information flow, and otherwise increase efficiency. You will be in charge of identifying and implementing change and improvement initiatives, in particular where application of technology and integration of software systems are key to ensuring efficiency of site organisation and construction-related activities.

You will work closely with the site team and manage process improvement and technology deployment initiatives, related to digital records, use of 3D (BIM) models in the field, management of construction materials and equipment, production planning, workforce management, as well as progress and productivity monitoring.

*Construction / Engineering Understanding

NOT ESSENTIAL BUT DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Degree in engineering / construction management / process engineering / manufacturing engineering / equivalent experience
*Previous experience in implementation of lean construction initiatives / lean operations management in a large engineering organisation / transferring applicable manufacturing sector practices into construction sector
*Experience as a consultant / business analyst / process improvement manager in construction sector / engineering organisation
*Understanding of process improvement approaches such as root cause analysis, gap analysis, Value Stream Mapping, 5S method, Just In Time, Kanban, Six Sigma
*Experience in specifying, configuring and implementing software systems and familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within IT
*Knowledge of SQL, writing apps, experience integrating application via API interfaces
