Service Desk Team Lead - Financial Services

A rapidly growing Financial Services company based in Central London are currently looking for a Service Support Lead to join term on a full time basis. You will be leading a small service desk and will be accountable for coordinating the resolution of all 1st/2nd line issues whilst managing the 3rd parties who are responsible for 3rd line response. There are currently around 200 users in the organisation.

There are a couple of major projects which you will be involved in. You will be heavily involved in rolling hold and championing the use of ServiceNow within the organisation as their ticket resolution applications alongside the Head of IT and you will be also working with the Head of IT in order to design a transition plan for 2nd line support from 3rd party to internal support.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have prior experience deploying and/or configuration ServiceNow within an organisation. You will be comfortable within in a Windows/Citrix environment, have previous management/team lead experience and finally be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

This will be an exciting opportuning for a service focused IT professional looking for a role where they can be given true accountability and shape a major part of an organisation. In the long term, as the business grows, this role will evolve into either a Service Operations Manager/ Service Delivery style role.

As a Service Support Lead, your role will involve some of the following duties:
  • Managing the service support team
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Implementing ServiceNow into the organisation
  • Championing and driving ITIL practices within the organisation.


To succeed in this role, you will need the following experience:
  • Knowledge of Windows 7, MS Office, Exchange etc.
  • Experience with Citrix
  • Experience deploying and/or configuring ServiceNow.
  • Team/Lead and/or management experience.
  • Financial Services is a plus but not required.
