Choices is an exciting new employment programme in Allerdale & Copeland funded by the Big Lottery and European Social Fund until September 2019. Working in partnership with 12 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, Choices will support 450 long term unemployed people into or towards employment.

Team & Programme Coordinator (Employer Engagement Lead)
Salary: Circa £24,000 per annum
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week
Location: Workington, Cumbria

Engaging with employers, recruitment agencies and partners to find suitable job vacancies, work placements, and employer mentors will be essential to the success of Choices to enable participants to find employment. With an understanding of the current opportunities within the local labour market you will be instrumental in matching and providing job interview coaching for participants to enable them to access relevant job opportunities.

Essential Skills:

- Track record of working effectively with employers
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of barriers faced by those who are unemployed and how to support them
- Excellent Interpersonal and negotiation skills
