The Summer Playscheme is designed to give children with additional support needs the opportunity to access a range of community based activities available for all children to give them a quality experience of play and recreational activities and to support each child's physical and cognitive skills development within safe and supported environments. The wide range of activities offered for the children participating in the Summer Playscheme assists in preventing children becoming isolated within their communities during the lengthy summer holiday.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate the Summer Playscheme. We are looking for a highly motivated person who has the essential skills, experience and commitment needed to undertake this challenging, but enjoyable, task.

You will need excellent organisation, planning and communication skills to manage the project on a day to day basis. This will involve working closely with a small staff team, children with special needs, parents and professionals to provide services to the highest standard. An NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

If you would like further information and informal discussion about the post please contact:

Closing Date: Sunday 30 April 2017
