Quality Assurance Officer

This is a challenging opportunity for which we require a flexible, imaginative and enthusiastic worker to work in partnership with the Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate will have a central role in the overall leadership and development of a Quality Assurance and Quality Audit strategy for St Mary's Kenmure and also for the development of Quality Assurance processes for and on behalf of The Board of Directors at St Mary's Kenmure.

The successful candidate will:
  • Work closely with Senior Managers, Unit Management Teams and Training Team, to lead, develop and maintain relevant Management Information systems.
  • Have the lead responsibility for providing the analysis and interpretation of such information, reporting on outcomes to a variety of audiences, including the Scottish Government, Senior Managers within St Mary's Kenmure, Scotland Excel and other Managers and practitioners.
  • Design and undertake direct audits of work under the guidance of the Head of Service and to undertake the analysis of such audits and of audits carried out by Senior Managers.
  • Develop user feedback processes and to ensure that outcomes from this process are incorporated into service developments and processes.
  • Work closely with practitioners, in order to identify service needs and develop appropriate responses, including the identification (with the Training Section) of training provision.
  • Review existing policies and practices and assist in the development and implementation of new policy developments.
  • Have expert knowledge and understanding on Social Care matters.

    Your duties do not include direct working with young people, however you will be expected to be in and around the whole campus and at times be in the company of our young people. Therefore, this post requires the candidate to be registered with SSSC and a member of the PVG scheme.
