Our client is a FTSE 250 transport company with UK and overseas operations. As a result of a major restructure and new HR strategy they are looking to appoint an experienced HR Employment Policy Manager. The role will report to the Head of Corporate HR Service Delivery and is required to standardise policy across the UK and ensure a simple, practical and easy to understand suite of employment policies appropriate to the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

*Provide expert input on employment policy and employee engagement, personally advising and supporting HR Directors and other senior executives, and helping to shape the people strategy and employee experience across the Group

*Lead the development of policy frameworks for UK Divisions to ensure compliance and reduce risk

*Coordinate people input for Annual Report and CSR reporting requirements for the Group

You should already possess significant experience of developing and implementing employment policy in a complex, commercial environment. Ideally managing large-scale employee surveys, preferably gained in a big, fast paced organisation with a mobile 24/7 workforce.

In addition you will need the intellectual rigour to analyse situations and risks, clear, concise communication skills and excellent influencing and relationship skills at senior levels.
