A well-known Defence Contractor requires a PMO Support person to work onsite in Farnborough for an initial 6 month contract. Must be eligible for Security Clearance.

This role is responsible for the planning, monitoring and control of PMO processes within EITS, communication of the processes and assuring adherence to the processes.

The role shall specifically focus on the variable demand that is required by projects in order to delivery change to our Customers. The role shall ensure that the demand is being routinely declared by Programme and Project Managers, reviewed by Portfolio Delivery leads and where demand exceeds availability facilitates resolution.

The role includes activities related to resource management, reporting aggregation and driving assurance checks.

The role:

* Enabling the core PMO capabilities and processes to be implemented by providing support to EITS project community.

* Undertake assurance activities to identify improvement and help areas

* Create information dashboards to improve EITS operational performance.

* Contribute to EITS PMO roadmap and capability development.

* Suggest enhancements to, or replacements for, processes where this is appropriate and compatible with the concept of Continuous Improvement.

Knowledge & Skills:

* Competent in Project reporting and Resource Management or a related area such as Workforce Planning, Project Scheduling, Time booking or Business Change

* Competent knowledge of LCM, Business Analysis, Project Management, Change Management and Business Process Re-engineering concepts and techniques

* Experience in Project reporting and Resource Management or a related area such as Workforce Planning, Project Scheduling, Time booking or Business Change

* An appreciation of business ethics, combined with a high degree of professional integrity

* Practiced knowledge of the regulatory framework including HSE, Export control, ITAR security and Product Safety.

* Practiced knowledge of project management processes for control and monitoring.

Qualifications:

* Educated to HNC or equivalent, preferably in a related discipline

* Familiarity with computer-based Project Management tools including MS Project, MS Office, etc.
