Job Requirements

Global Insurance firm is currently seeking a driven and commercially savvy Finance Business Partner for a pivotal senior appointment. This company is currently going through a vast amount of transformation and entering into a new period of growth and expansion.

They urgently need to hire an experienced Finance Business Partner to assist with theses changes within the organisations.

Working in a small team or 4 the Finance Business Partner will report into the Group FP&A Manager assisting with the future planning of the company.

The primary focus of the Finance Business Partner is the provision of high quality high quality finance business partnering support and effective financial oversight and management of operational cost ("BAU") and strategic investment cost.

Detailed Description

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for:

- Effective financial oversight and management of operational cost and strategic investment cost
- The provision of high quality, responsive finance business partnering support
- Managing the month end process and all team tasks required to ensure month end processes are delivered on a timely basis
- Presenting monthly Finance MI results to Business Heads - reviewing and challenging monthly and YTD position
- Implementing annual planning process, translating business strategy into financial plans
- Ensuring all budgets, forecasts and actuals are accurately entered retained in finance source systems

Business Planning & Reporting 25%

- Guide the business through the financial planning process, including medium term plans (3 year), short term plans (1 year) and regular (minimum quarterly) forecasting to ensure all plans and forecasts accurately reflect business strategy and requirements
- Drive the process to translate business line strategy into financial plans and targets, offering robust and insightful challenge during the budgeting and forecasting process

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience.
- Knowledge of US and UK GAAP and IFRS
- High level of insurance/insurance brokerage industry knowledge
- Possess a high level of communication skills
- Ability to work well with senior levels of management
- Ability to work effectively as part of the wider finance team
- Ability to independently work through and resolve issues as they arise
- Experience working in a high pressured tight deadline driven environment
- Good excel skillsGood Understanding of commercial finance and cash management
