The Role

As a Senior Data Planner you will play a key role in developing strategy and delivering CRM on behalf of the client. The role will predominantly focused on optimizing the existing customer and prospect data that resides within the client Database.

To ensure integration with the wider client offering, you will work closely with a range of departments including Analytics, Planning, Account Management Web, Social and SEO to ensure that we fully understand the customer needs and present a joined-up approach across all functions.

The role is primarily focused on B2C and B2B markets, including Enterprise, Small and Medium Businesses. You will have a solid understanding of data and insight and how it can be best applied to add value for the client. A large part of the role will focus on developing acquisition and retention strategies and providing strategic direction to support the clients Global CRM initiative.

Marketing Operations

The team are the data specialists that represent the client across Insight, reporting and measurement, digital and CRM strategy.

The team is growing in line with the client’s emphasis on data and digital application to support the future development of one to one marketing. As a team they are always striving to improve the way they do things, there is a large emphasis on training and development and using the online tools available to widen our knowledge and experience.

Data Planning

Primary focus to identify opportunities for improving CRM marketing, Interprets analysis and identify how the results fit into client's commercial or data strategy context. Responsible for closing the loop and applying learning’s from the insight to marketing campaigns

Analysis

Interrogates the data and forming initial hypothesis about the potential outcomes.

Responsible for data audit collating details into reporting tables

Provides regular reporting and Business Information measurement

Campaign Management

Sets up and executes campaigns, Campaign systems and tools expert across B2C and B2B client customers and prospects

Data & Applications

Provides ongoing support to client web Applications and Databases

Develops new applications in accordance with the strategy development

Responsibilities·Working with the Marketing Operations Director to help develop data strategies for campaigns and future CRM development

·Work with Campaign Management Team & Account Management to schedule delivery of campaigns and set-up test and learn requirements (e.g. Subject line testing)

·Understand business issues and concerns of the client and use customer analysis and reporting to provide actionable recommendations

·Work closely with Analytics team to generate insight and develop customer segmentation to applied to different territories

·Work closely with Business Analysts to develop and manage requests for dashboard reporting

·Audit of key data quality issues and develop strategies to address these areas

·Provide recommendations on how to best leverage customer data

·Provide recommendations and manage 3rd party list purchase

·Liaise with other internal departments for the scheduling and briefing of work to be completed by Analysts

·Build relationships with management and staff (internal & external) in business areas associated with data strategy

·Working with the Data analyst to help develop reporting across UK and Western Europe

·Understand business issues and concerns of the client and use customer analysis and reporting to provide actionable recommendations

·Audit of key data quality issues and develop strategies to address these areas

·Develop the data strategy across the Customer Journey from acquisition through to repurchase including insight based campaign targeting strategy

·Drive campaign optimisation by establishing and managing the test and learn process and campaign reporting

·Convert analysis output into customer insight that drives marketing performance

·Briefing external suppliers and internal marketing operation functions, as required

·Build relationships with management and staff (internal & external) in business areas associated with data planning work.

Required Qualifications & Skill set

·Understanding of direct marketing, customer relationship management, eCRM, digital marketing and campaign management

·Proven delivery of data strategy including test and learn and measurement and evaluation

·five years plus experience in either a data planning role or data orientated environment

·Working knowledge of digital channels, Display and Media purchase

·Experienced working with Marketing Services Providers

·Ability to optimise single customer views for strategy development.

·Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

·Good written and oral communication skills

·Comfortable presenting complex data solutions and metrics

·Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

·Previous experience of both B2B, B2C and 3rd party data would be desirable

·General knowledge of statistical concepts is desirable
