Participation Officer - Corporate Parenting (Fixed Term for 23 months) - PKC03157
£12,444 - £14,021 (21.6 Hours per week)

To liaise between the corporate parenting sub group and Fun Young Individuals, mentor young people and support the Youth Worker (Corporate Parenting) in working to further develop the Fun Young Individual group. The post holder will work closely with the SSCO Support Worker, Children's Rights Officer and the Who Cares? Scotland Worker to ensure that young people with care experience are empowered, championed and supported to realise their potential and live a life full of success and one they are in control of. The post holder will support the Young Person's Workers in creating opportunities for involvement and engagement activities / projects.
It is essential that this post works collaboratively with other workers across corporate parent organisations and identify further opportunities to maximise the impact of the work they do and has care experience.

You will support the Youth Worker (Corporate Parenting) and other staff members in the further development of the Fun Young Individuals group.

The Individual

You will be a care experienced, looked after or previously looked after young person who has the motivation and willingness to provide support and mentoring opportunities to other care experienced young people.
