My client is a leading Care home based in Cheltenham. It is part of a group of homes owned by a leading independent healthcare provider. The home has about 55 beds and It’s set in a residential area with beautiful countryside surroundings with. They are currently looking for an Assistant manager on a fulltime-permanent basis. The right candidate will provide leadership and guidance to Senior and Junior carers. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for a step into a management position.

Main Duties:

  • To work at all times in ways which demonstrate an active understanding of the principles of the job as described above. And by giving leadership and guidance to Senior and Junior Carers.
  • To comply with existing working procedures, methods, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
  • To collaborate in complying with relevant health and safety legislation, procedures and policies in the performance of the duties of the post.
  • To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Company equal opportunities policies.
  • Under the supervision of the manager, to take responsibility for projects consistent with the needs of the home.
  • To observe data protection and confidentiality and associated guidelines where appropriate.
  • Qualifications and experience:

    ·Senior carer/Team Leader experience is essential

    ·Nursing experience is preferred/Registered Nurse is preferred

    ·Experience in Dementia care is preferred

    ·Recognised Healthcare qualifications
