The Company

One of the UK's top 5 residential house builders are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team to work on fast paced high volume projects across the West Midlands area. This national house builder focus on traditional build housing and generally have projects ranging from 70 to 200 units of 2,3,4 and 5 bedroom homes and apartments.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to assist the Site Manager in managing all on-site activities from initial programming through to practical completion and adoption works, including the continual liaison with all sub-contractors and the supervision of all site operatives on residential developments.

There will be a day-to-day involvement in managing the build sequence ensuring each stage is delivered in line with financial and programme requirements, whilst delivering a product of the highest quality in a safe working environment. There will also be a need to maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners.

You will already have experience as an Assistant Site Manager on residential new build developments, or you will have a recognised qualification and a relevant background in residential new build work that is suitable for an appropriate career progression opportunity into a site management position

You will be assisting Site Manager in the following responsibilities:

  • Managing number of sub-contractors on site
  • Controlling quality of works
  • Achieving CML dates
  • Management of work program
  • Chasing materials and dealing with customer care issues as and when required

About You

As an Assistant Site Manager you will be highly motivated and be able to work in a busy, pressured environment and have proven experiences working to tight deadlines in a high specification environment. You must have previous experience working on similar residential projects traditional build.

  • SMSTS 5 Day Health & Safety
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid At Work
  • Scaffold Inspection
  • HNC / HND or another equivalent construction qualification (desirable)

The Opportunity

For your skills and experience we can offer an hourly rate of £18 - £20.00 Per Hour working a minimum 45 hours per week. Depending on your performance, our client has other developments starting in and around the West Midlands.
