IT Analyst - West London
Exciting, dynamic, leading edge Software company require a versatile on-site IT Engineer/Analyst to support the London branch of this international company and assist in the deployment, maintenance and management of technology for approximately 400 staff, worldwide. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the planning and management of day-to-day operation and maintenance of corporate Servers, SW systems and applications. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with network connectivity, desktop and server application errors, and hardware malfunctions across the enterprise. Support local & remote users via IT ticketing system, emails, desk-side visits, and phone calls. Display patience and professionalism working with employees having a range of computer competencies. Create and manage network user accounts following established procedures. Assist with support of video conferencing and audio/video equipment. Create and maintain system and site documentation. Monitor IT infrastructure health, performance, and security. Perform basic server maintenance on a variety of Windows Servers & Applications, running in a VMWare virtualized environment. Assist senior IT staff as-needed on new applications and systems deployments. Manage multiple projects through completion. Coordinate effectively with other support and production departments.Having a BS Degree in a technology based discipline. You will have the following skills and experience. 5+ years of experience providing 1st and 2nd line technical support in Microsoft Windows environments. Excellent analytical abilities, project coordination, and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to work independently to solve IT-related problems. In-depth knowledge of desktop and server operating systems (Win7, Win10, 2003, 2008, 2012, OS X). Managing and maintaining the Windows Servers and the infrastructure services they deliver: DHCP, DNS, File, Print, Group Policy, Active Directory Domain, WSUS, MDT, PowerShell, Scripting, and authentication. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common PC applications. Proficient installing and troubleshooting hardware and software. Understand LAN networking theory & concepts, including Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, Radius, 802.11x, VoIP. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technology through self-study and formal training. Experience withVMWare vSphere and VEEAM backup, Dell PowerEdge Servers, Firewalls, networking, remote access. Take ownership of issues arising in the environment and manage through to closure working with other team members, the business, and 3rd parties as appropriate.
