Location - Newton Farm Primary School, Harvester Avenue, Newton, G72 6AA

2 x School Support Assistant (Office) - 27.5 hours per week, per post, term-time

3 x School Support Assistant (Class) - 27.5 hours per week, per post, term-time

Education Resources are committed to the education, care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment.

You will work as an effective member of the support services team, delivering a high quality service which supports pupils and staff and contributes to a positive school ethos.

Essential attributes:
  • Experience of working with children and/or young people in a formal setting
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Flexible and adaptable

Assessments and interviews will be issued to those applicants who are successful at shortleet following the closing date. The assessment will focus on candidates' literacy and numeracy skills.


Employment History/Foreign Police Check

Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
