As MI Manager you will will responsible for running the business intelligence team for the company and help with the CIO to define the next steps the business takes on its BI journey.

Management Information Manager leads the Business Intelligence Team and is key to the operation of the business as a whole.

As MI manager you will be responsible for the following remit;

  • The MI Manager will act as a champion for the effective use of business data within the organisation.
  • You will act as a conduit from the Senior Management Team to the Business Intelligence function
  • You will define the architecture and relationships of the company systems and work to eradicating any potential silos of data.
  • Defining the Business Intelligence Strategy.
  • Initiate and lead BI projects from start to finish using sound project management skills.
  • Suggest and deliver new systems and system improvements.
  • Work with the rest of the Business Intelligence Team and support them in their role
  • Consider how to increase connectivity between systems, build automated workflows and data checks to constantly improve the smooth running, data integrity and accurate reporting.


As MI manager based at the office in Bolton you will be responsible for the smooth running and growth of the Business Intelligence offering of the business. With such a key role we are looking for a high potential individual

You will need to describe the following skill set;

  • Degree in a computing related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The MI Manager should have extensive experience in Business Intelligence development within a commercial environment, including having managed a team of developers.
  • The MI Manager should have demonstrable interaction with Board Level sponsors.
  • The MI Manager will have worked with customers at all levels of business and it is vital that they can demonstrate having worked with these customers to gather requirements and translate them into solutions using the necessary skills.
  • It is preferable that the MI Manager should have experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools; SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
