The role is to support the Chief Financial Officer and manage the day to day running of the department and team and to ensure accurate and timely month end production to invoice clients and pay reporters. Key aspects of the role will be to produce accurate monthly accounts, statistics and KPI information, to assist with the preparation of statutory financial information and cash management. It is also to develop the finance and information processes to support the business and to support the Chief Financial Officer in the PLC environment.

The post requires an understanding of the overlap of responsibilities, job functions with other posts within the finance department and the wider organisation and a team oriented professional approach.

Description

  • Manage and develop the finance team and processes.
  • Manage the month end process to ensure the integrity of the data and the completeness and accuracy of the reconciliation.
  • Ensure that all invoices and radiologists payments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Produce accurate and complete management accounts on a monthly basis for review by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Ensure that the required information from the month end statistics is presented in the correct format for review by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepare the first draft of the Group's statutory accounts.
  • Develop and improve the accounting and reporting functions.
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure annual audit is managed.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure its accuracy.
  • Control the sage accounts program and ensure it is up to date and all control accounts are reconciled.
  • Manage supplier transactions and ensure all payments are met as due.
  • Manage the process of dealing with queries from clients to ensure the appropriate action is taken in a timely manner.
  • Manage and monitor the credit control activity and manage cashflow.

Control the key administrative requirements of the Finance department

Profile

  • Qualified ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Experience in producing financial statements
  • Experience using Sage
  • Strong excel skills
  • Preferably knowledge of IFRS
