Salary: £25,000 basic + uncapped commission + benefits - OTE £35,000 - £40,000

The company, established in 2006, is a Milton Keynes based Managed Services Provider (MSP) Providing proactive IT support to SME's In Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and London.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Account Manager with a proven track record in IT Managed Services. The role will combine winning new business with managing and developing an existing account base.

The primary purpose of the position is to manage an existing set of clients, & develop new sales for our range of service and solutions.

The position will be responsible for executing an account management and development strategy both through some internal re-allocation & once new contracts are secured. To be successful, the candidate will be an experienced account management professional with ideally no less than 2 years' experience. A technology background & experience of the managed services IT marketplace would be advantageous. The role requires a candidate with exceptional communication skills both written and oral who is an experienced presenter to all customer levels including board level executives. A broad range of technologies and a genuine interest in technology would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing account strategies to maximise the company revenue streams from all accounts.
  • Nurturing and developing client relationships to ensure client retention & longevity of business.
  • To engage relevant technical and project resources in the business to aid solution and sales planning.
  • Identify and cross sell the company's entire range of services to all accounts.
  • To attend customer meetings to present company capabilities and identify sales opportunities.
  • Work consultatively with clients to achieve long term technical roadmaps and plans.
  • To prepare and present professional sales proposals and quotations.
  • To produce accurate monthly sales and forecast reports to track performance and achievements throughout the sales cycle.
  • To ensure internal CRM systems are always up-to-date and accurately maintained.

Key Requirements:

  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years successful Account Management Experience within IT managed services.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft technologies, services and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills.
  • A consultative, commercially led professional.
  • Flair, determination, self-motivation and tenacity.
  • Passion and pride in your work and achievements, in line with company purpose and values.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

Experience:

The successful candidate will have in-depth commercial experience within the IT industry, of which will have been gained within a B2B solution account management position. Additionally, you will demonstrate experience and knowledge of current & leading infrastructure technologies & solution vendors in the Windows marketplace appropriate to the larger SME & mid-market sectors and be capable of interpreting customer requirements and engaging in long term IT strategy and planning led sales discussions.
