My client, based in Newent, is looking for a QHSE Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duties:

Essential Requirements:

  • Ensure the company follows all legal and other requirements relating to hse. Coordinate and liaise with company’s certification bodies.
  • Coordinate and execute hse inspections & audits on site.
  • Lead cultural change within the business to ensure continuous improvement
  • Monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
  • Work with other company personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • To drive and implement the company achieve a quality management registration iso 9001:2015
  • Perform accurate physical and visual inspection of goods inward and raw materials.
  • Check quality and accuracy of components, and sub-assemblies as per production requirements
  • Implement shop floor quality systems to reduce wip defects and rework.
  • Conduct and manage shop floor stage and final inspections, with a view to reducing errors and costs.
  • Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to measure the cost of quality.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment and factory plant, machines and equipment.
  • Develop existing / new quality & health safety policies onto shop floor and into production activities.
  • Maintain a contract risk register, reviewing qhse risks and escalating where appropriate.
  • Maintain and action ncr activity from shop floor and from customer/supplier based ncr’s.
  • Liaise with customer and supplier qa/hse departments regarding audits and contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with operations manager/director on the formulation of qhse policies objectives and targets.
  • Conduct drills, such as fire drills, to ensure equipment is properly functioning and staff are aware of what to do in an emergency.
  • Essential requirements:

  • Nebosh diploma in occupational safety & health or equivalent.
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of quality, health & safety and environmental legislation & best practice and appropriate industry specific qualifications (nebosh & iema, auditor training).
  • iso 9001:2015 qualified.
  • Experienced manager with experience of hard service delivery within a fast pace manufacturing facility.
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining qhse systems across an integrated business.
  • Role model for managing change and good analytical skills.
  • Full uk driving license.
  • Excellent it skills across Microsoft office.

  • The role is Full Time, Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00 and Friday: 07:30 – 11:45
