Location - Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry, Stratford upon Avon

36.5 hours per week (Mo - Fri)

Are you an experienced engineer from a Materials background? Are you looking for an immediately available contract role within a world renowned R&D department?

My client are looking for someone to join their research and development department which is at the forefront their field. You will have experience of working in a high temperature materials processing environment. Some aspects of the work will involve high temperature melting, casting and deformation, furnace work, rapid prototyping, mechanical testing, material sampling and testing. If you have some of these skills but not all, please still apply.

You will be operating and maintaining effective use of materials processing equipment including melting/casting equipment, high temperature furnaces, rolling mills, and thermo-mechanical simulators. You will also be helping design, manufacture and commission specialised research and experimental apparatus and equipment to very high level of accuracy to support research activities in these areas and recording findings whilst communicating results to students and academics.
Anyone from a materials background with some experience of the above should apply to the role.
