A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Scientist to join an innovative Data Science team on a permanent basis. My client is a growing, reputable company who provide niche geographic information system imagery & data which helps support their client's critical business decisions. Your new company analyse the Earth's data through their unique landscape intelligence platform. You will have the once in a life time opportunity of analysing the Earth through specialist satellites, airborne & ground instruments.

Your new role


Your new career path will allow you to analyse data in Agriculture, Water & Conservation work. You will work closely with other Data Scientists and will become an expert as you will be solely responsible for your particular area. You will work side by side with the GIS analysts who implement models & methods devised by you! The main responsibilities of your new role will be developing innovative applications of machine learning, classification techniques and applications for earth observation. Once you've established yourself, you will have the opportunity to work from home.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to be able to learn and modify new concepts quickly & have experience of machine learning techniques such as Random Forests, SVM and Probabilistic methods. You will be skilled in using Microsoft Excel and have programming skills in either R, C, C++ or Java. You will be a good communicator with excellent self-initiative, having a considered approach when facing unknown challenges.
