We have opportunities for people experienced in care work to be a quality officer in our Poole branch. This role would suit someone who is an experienced Care Worker or Care Supervisor, looking to move along their career path.

The Quality Officer role comes with full training and is a unique role in the care sector. You will not be providing care to people, however you will be responsible for the quality of the care they receive, branch standards, and importantly, creating, updating and reviewing care plans.

You will be the first person to attend a service users’ home, going through the care assessment and creating a personalised care plan. You will need to be able to create a good impression of Carewatch, and live up to our company values:

  • Respect for People
  • Passionate about Quality
  • Deliver Positive Outcomes
  • Role responsibilities include (full training provided):

Carrying out service reviews and updating Needs Assessments, Care/Support Plans and Risk Assessments.

Performing local Quality Audits in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Monitoring compliance, ensuring Service User and Employee files are maintained and updated as required.

Carrying out field observations for all new Care Workers in line with our in-house training and development programme, taking appropriate action as necessary.

Communicating effectively with branch staff and other internal teams as required. Embedding Carewatch procedures and processes in the branch, ensuring the branch is compliant and meets all requirements.

Ensuring Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to at all times.

    Participate in an on-call rota.

To undertake other duties as requested by your Line Manager

You should apply for this role if…

You have previous experience in the care sector.

Ideally, you will have experience of Customer Care Needs Assessments, writing Care Plans and auditing and observing quality standards – however, if you are a Care Worker with a good understanding of these, you may still be considered for the role.

You will need to have excellent customer service skills, along with a positive, can do attitude. Attention to detail is also an important part of the role, as is a genuine passion for quality and high standards of care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys to go the extra mile whilst making a real difference to people in the community.

We believe in supporting our employees to achieve their career aspirations, which is why we offer a structured career pathway to help you achieve your career goals.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS/PVG check and you must have a full UK driving licence.
