My exclusive client is looking to appoint a Financial Planning and MI Analyst. Reporting directly to the Finance Director the role has responsibility for the development and delivery of business intelligence and management information including both historical and forward looking Financial MI.

The role requires interface at all levels of the organisation in a Business Partner capacity to provide the Senior Management team with the visibility for the foundations for future growth ambitions.

Specific duties will include:

To develop business intelligence, management information, financial reporting and results validation.To fully understand and analyse the key financial drivers, costs and revenues of the business, reporting results and making recommendations to the Finance Director and the Board as appropriate to enhance financial performance, both in the short term as well as for achieving longer term strategic objectives.To understand and maintain the financial models (currently MS Excel based) used for budgeting and forecasting purposes, both short term budgeting/forecasting and those used for longer term strategic financial planning (5 Year Plan).Develop further financial analyses so that the Board can fully understand the dynamics of the business e.g. sales analyses, product mix, product pricing/profitability analysis.To understand the financial reporting metrics for the company, including profit & loss, balance sheets and cash flow.To highlight key financial issues, provide sound financial and commercial advice and recommendations.Assist the Finance Director with the preparation of reports to the Board and Executive team.To assist in developing business cases as required, including cost/benefit analysis and investment appraisalDevelop models to support strategic decision making for strategic initiatives.The ideal candidate will require the following:

Ideally qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.Strong Commercial acumen.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.Excellent systems and modelling skills, including financial reporting packages and Microsoft Office, in particular advanced MS Excel.Experience of producing data reports using MS ExcelPart-time working may be considered as would an element of home-working after an initial probation period.
