Systems / Applications Analyst is required for an expanding not-for-profit organisation based in West Midlands. The System Analyst role will be a varied role helping to support the business improve process efficiency and business objectives, by ensuring key business applications operate efficiently.

The Systems Analyst will be involved in ensuring business applications are fully utilised, understanding User needs, extracting information from users, and identifying methods of improving business /application efficiency in line with business processes.

In addition, the role will involve delivering, optimising and supporting the business application systems that the organisation use.

Key Duties:

Maintenance of software systems to achieve optimum reliability and performance.

Maintaining an accurate up-to-date log of current known requests and issues.

Systems development support and maintenance

Management of databases ensuring they run efficiently and apply regular upgrades and manage integrations between applications,

Use of SSRS or Business Objects to compile MI Reports

Assist in implementing system changes to support business requirements

Understand business requirements and translate into functional requirements.

Provide high quality support to all users of the applications and help identify root cause to problems, implementing effective solutions.

Installation, implementation, configuring and support 3rd party business applications

Attend user groups to gain knowledge of new enhancements and share these ideas with the business

Successful candidates must have previous experience in systems / applications analysis and a good understanding of working with Databases and Applications. You will need to be a strong communicator as you will be involved in meeting users and discussing key requirements and needs. You will play a pivotal role in examining business process and application efficiency. Previous knowledge of compiling MI Reports is ideally required using SSRS or Business Objects. Any knowledge of Housing or Public sector systems will also be of interest.

The role is based in Burton on Trent and offers a basic salary of up to c£32k + benefits which can include pension, flexi-time and training and scope for personal development. Start times can vary from 8am, 9am or 10am.
