A Segmentation & Data Modelling Analyst required for a retailer in Manchester paying up to £44,000

Your new company
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Segmentation & Data Modelling Analyst to join a busy marketing team, currently at the heart of a digital transformation and a business striving to be a top digital player in the retail market. You will be developing analytical solutions to improve the trading performance and efficiency of scorecards and segmentation systems.

Your new role
As a Segmentation and Modelling analyst, you will utilise a variety of statistical techniques from modelling, machine learning and data mining to make predictions about customer behaviour. You will work with a team of analysts to ensure decisions on customer behaviours are made accurately, whilst liaising with stakeholders within the business, to influence business decisions. There is the option to mentor and coach a team of 3 analysts within this role.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Exceptional skills in marketing analytics, digital analytics and most importantly be able to drive change in a large organisation
  • Previous knowledge of advanced customer analytics using tools such as SAS / SQL / SPSS and an appreciation of open source tools (Python, R etc) and open source data
  • Proven track record in an analytical role, with some experience in a role assisting in website performance development.
  • Project management skills and the ability to harness "big data" / large data sets.
  • PC literate eg Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Comprehensive knowledge, training and experience in data analysis, reporting, data warehousing, physical and logical data modelling, statistical analysis tools, data governance and master data management
  • Influencing skills are key as this is a highly cross functional role. Ability to engage Senior Managers as key stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator and builder of interpersonal relationships, ability to influence others at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to scale large data sets and extract relevant insights in a timely manner
