Our client is a Global multi-site chemicals manufacturer. Products are sold worldwide to manufacturers serving a diverse range of consumer and industrial end markets.
Who are we looking for?
You will be a Process Engineering Capability/Development specialist, a natural leader of people and the Process Capability function, ideally with 10 years’ experience.
·Providing leadership in Process Engineering activities in the design and ongoing development of process plant at a Top Tier COMAH chemical plant. You will manage the site’s process control design strategy to improve manufacturing capability, ensuring step-change improvements to business competitiveness.
·Reporting to the Site Technical Director, you will be the Project Process Engineering Lead, executing a strategic project plan through HAZOP reviews
·Technical Authority for Process Engineering, providing technical support to the operations teams
·Manage assigned design work carried out by the Process Chemical Engineering Group and to ensure that the Process group produces safe, economic and technically sound engineering designs in accordance with company policy
·To act as departmental focal point for driving chemical engineering innovation and continuous improvement in the work processes and tools used in the process for design work
·Assessing staff for technical competence and ensuring that chemical engineers are deployed in line with their skills, experience and competence
·Provide process engineering problem solving and design input to the site manufacturing process
·Plan, lead, control and deliver process technology development projects
Competencies/ Skills / Behaviours:
·Relevant industry codes, standards and guidelines for chemical and process industries, ideally Top Tier COMAH
·Experience in the full project lifecycle
·Proven experience in leadership of developmental portfolios and of complex projects with challenging delivery timings
·Degree in Chemical Engineering is essential
·Chartered Engineer preferred (MIChemE/FIChemE).
·The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience including significant experience of chemical / processing facility design and development
