Python Developer(s) - Risk and Pricing - Investment Banking - City of London Our Client, a leading investment bank, is currently looking to recruit for Python Developers. The successful candidate will work primarily on greenfield projects building the Bank's next generation Enterprise Counterparty Portfolio Management systems in Python, leveraging a new strategic front-to-back cross-asset risk and trading platform being rolled out across Global Markets within the firm. This new platform features a high-performance, globally synchronized object database and a flexible scripting environment based on Python. Role responsibilities: - Designing and coding new applications, frameworks, features, and enhancements in Python - Ensuring the design quality of technical deliverables remain exceptionally high, in terms of maintainability and extensibility, robustness and scalability. - Adhering to (and contributing to extension of) established Agile development and QA processes, including automated unit and integration testing. - Assisting in escalated production support calls, including resolving questions and issues from users and downstream systems across global locations and teams; these may be about functionality or may be technical in nature - Working with developers and project managers to support testing and UAT phases of integration projects (running reports and reconciliations, investigating and tracking issues, reporting on progress etc) Location: City of London Salary: £40,000 - £120,000 (depending on seniority and experience) Key Skills/Experience: - Strong background with Project Management across development projects - Experience of development in Python, Java or C++, and strong system and object oriented design skills - Experience of the full lifecycle of software development and delivery with Agile development practices including unit testing, continuous integration, refactoring - Ability to work with a team of like-minded high-calibre developers to translate user requirements into working code - Excellent problem-solving, communication and team-working skills - Financial markets experience If you feel you have the right skill-set, please submit your cv and contact Daniel Isaacs at Hydrogen group. #LI-DI1 #LI-43
