Key Accountabilities required * Review and preparation of monthly management and control reporting. * Implementation and monitoring of key internal product and financial controls to ensure a robust controls environment, across regions. * Accounting for a variety of financial instruments involved in structured transactions on solus entity and consolidated basis. * Oversee site accountants for a portfolio of legal entities responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting records and delivery of statutory reporting on schedule. * Assist in the consolidated reporting of the areas Tax - liaising with all Deal Controllers in the team, Front Office and Group Tax. * Ownership of the team's Tax provisions process * Initiate and lead efficiency / control improvement projects for the team across regions, ensuring a well thought out strategy is developed, planned, implemented and monitored. * Reviewing and preparing other ancillary reporting requirements on a monthly basis. Key skills required * Experience of analyzing and reporting multi entity structures and tax concepts preferred. * Experience in Financial Control and/or Product Control and experience applying IFRS within an investment banking environment * Strong knowledge of end to end processes and controls in a global investment bank * Strong knowledge of complex financial products and the accounting thereof * Track record of building and maintaining strong, independent working relationships with senior business stakeholders and finance management * Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to tailor style depending on the audience. The role involves daily interaction with a broad range of people and the requires an ability to succinctly present difficult messages tailored to different audiences Stakeholder management and leadership. The role will involve building strong relationships and regular communication with a wide group of stakeholders, including Front Office, Risk, IT, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, TCU and IB MO. The role will require the following expected leadership responsibilities and decision making: * Supervise junior team members ensuring they are appropriate challenged and continue their personal and professional development * Lead projects and planning programmes and participate in implementing strategy and efficiency * Review and assist VP signoff on sub-ledger and main ledger, balance sheet preparation and analysis. Supervise and run daily and monthly deliverables * Monitor Key Controls and Reconciliations Risk and Control Objective All company colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal copmany Policies and Policy Standards Skills and Qualifications * Degree or equivalent * Numerate based A-levels and degree * Fully Qualified CIMA/ACA / ACCA preferred * Strong experience of analyzing and reporting multi entity structures and tax concepts * Strong experience in Financial Control and/or Product Control in a investment banking environment * Strong experience in applying IFRS and US GAAP within an investment banking environment * Strong knowledge of end to end processes and controls in a global investment bank * Strong knowledge of complex financial products and the accounting thereof * Experience managing and coaching a team and ability to effectively allocate resources appropriately within the team to manage prioritisation and deliver against targets * Track record of building and maintaining strong, independent working relationships with senior business stakeholders and finance management * Experience of working across global jurisdictions * Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to tailor style depending on the audience.
