JG121 – Repairs Coordinator

Location: Chatham

Salary: £24,000p/a

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Repairs Coordinator on behalf of our client based in Chatham. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction and housing sector. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a well-established Construction company.

The role of the Repairs Coordinator is to ensure that resources (trades and apprentices) are available for work as required and that those resources are effectively and efficiently deployed. As well as making sure repairs are diagnosed correctly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer enquiries from customer and provide advice where needed to help resolve the query on first contact.
• To ensure the repair jobs are correctly diagnosed at the front end and correct operatives appointed.
• Provide ongoing training to the Work Schedulers on basic technology knowledge.
• Monitor the repairs booked online by our customers to ensure they are correctly diagnosed with the correct amount of time allocated to complete the repair.
• Monitor and review our repairs diagnosing tool to ensure that it is up to date and accurate and amend accordingly.
• Query variations and follow on appointments with operatives to ensure maximum efficiency in the scheduling system.
• Review and monitor variations received from external contractors.
• Highlight any trends in performance to the Supervisors on operatives performance.
• Order materials required for operatives to carry out repairs and liaise with our Managed Stores.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with client’s customers ensuring quality information, professionally presented.
• To work effectively as part of a service delivery team.
• To maintain the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
• To provide technical advice to non-technical staff as and when necessary

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge across building trades.
• Previous experience working in Housing or Construction.
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of a workforce and implement improvements to improve the efficiency and quality of works.
• Ability to diagnose repairs and provide advice to customers and staff.
• Full driving licence required.
• Willing to work evening or weekends given reasonable notice.
• Willing to be included in the emergency call out rota.
• Good ability with ICT, familiar with Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to organise workload in a methodical way for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
• Be self-motivated.
• Be honest, trustworthy and conscientious
