This is an opportunity for an experienced Java Developer to work on not only a Greenfield product but a genuinely pioneering one, breaking new ground in the Cloud based, e-commerce market place. This will be a long-term, ever-evolving project with multi-million pound budget. They are looking for a strong, creative Core Java Developer who can work closely with the technical architects to develop high performance, high quality code. In addition to the core products themselves you will also contribute to the development of an in-house advanced Test Framework, rather than make the best of one of the off the shelf automated test tools.

You will need start-up (or enterprise based, ground-up) Java Design and development utilising Modern Spring (Spring Boot etc), preferably Microservices, Docker/Containers , current environment knowledge (Jira, Confluence, Agile/Scrum) and an appreciation of how Java hooks into front and back-ends (Angular 2, Node.js, MongoDB etc).

This is a super talented but low-ego team so as well as being technically adept you will also need to be a good communicator and collaborator; able to share (and learn) ideas, ascertain the functional needs of both commercial and technical partnerships and stakeholders. This is pivotal for both understanding and solving the problem as well as the on-going Agile/TDD/BDD process.

At senior levels there will be the opportunity to mentor and lead from the front but at all levels your ideas will be heard and if proven useful through PoC, implemented into the grand design.
