Badenoch & Clark are currently working alongside an instantly recognisable and highly reputable company based out of Brighton in aid of appointing a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. You will be a crucial component of the senior finance team and as such will be accountable for the preparation of monthly financial results and their subsequent presentation to the Head of Finance and Director of Finance.
Reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting, your day-to-day accountabilities will entail the preparation of monthly management and statutory financial results, month end close processes, journals and balance sheets reconciliations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the development of financial reporting in congruence with fluctuating business needs. As such, you must simultaneously demonstrate exemplary levels of organisation whilst retaining the capacity to thrive under a reactive environment.
Key Accountabilities:
*Preparation of monthly actuals reporting for flash and full close for each of the company regions, along with variance analysis and commentary
*Preparation of monthly actuals reporting for flash and full close for the company
*Develop financial reporting to meet changing business requirements
*Monthly cash flow analysis and reporting
*Ensure that all company accounting and financial control policies are understood and applied within the company and, for example, review capex/opex decision making and application
*Proactively working to improve the financial reporting processes and controls within the function and management of process documentation.
*Act as liaison with internal/external auditors, and prepare required reporting/documentation to meet requirements.

Essentials and Desirables
*Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CPA or equivalent)
*Strong financial reporting background, with good understanding of the financial services sector
*Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
*Excellent Excel skills
*Proven people management ability (will be managing a small team)
*Demonstrating ownership and accountability.
*Adaptability and flexibility especially in a rapidly changing environment.
*Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across finance teams
