Hotcourses specialise in digital technology providing future students with unique digital tools, and informative & inspirational content, from the early stages of research, right the way through to enrolling at schools, colleges and universities.

We provide customers with market intelligence so they can identify who is interested in their college or university. We then provide platforms for them to influence and connect with these future students, all the way through to enrolment.

We are looking for a creative, team player who has excellent analytical and problem solving skills to join our Central IT team. You will be responsible for supporting the multiple components of our technology stack and working with our development teams.


·Support our development, test and production web & DB technology stack

·Provide proof of concept work for new technologies and projects

·Perform system upgrades, migrations and install patches

·Develop scripts and procedures

·Develop and support backup and recovery processes

·Liaise with our development teams

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities


·Oracle DB administration

·Unix / linux knowledge and understanding

·Oracle middleware (weblogic, webcache, IAS)

·Understanding of basic entity modelling


·Performance tuning and monitoring

·Apache or other internet application server technology

·Writing SQL and pl/sql queries

·Shell scripting

·Virtualisation technology

·Java / javascript / PHP / python

·Basic network skills

·Any experience in web technology
