I am recruiting for a Client Accountant on the behalf of my client, who operates within the Property Management Sector in Glasgow. My client has won many different industry awards and offers excellent career progression.

Client Details

My client operates in the heart of the city centre in Glasgow, and they have a finance team of less than 20 employees, providing employees with well rounded exposure to clients and reporting. My client boasts an excellent staff attrition rate- the Client Accountant Team Leaders in the Glasgow site have been with the company for over 5 years and there has been a low turnover of staff for over a decade, with recruitment occurring as Glasgow has been identified as my client's growth office.


The successful Client Accountant will have the following duties;

-Assisting the Regional Director in the control of finances of client monies held in order to manage a property portfolio

-Take accounts up to trial balance

-Periodic reporting to clients

-Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports (ie VAT, client statements)

-Manage and maintain the property and tenant database for all clients under remit

-Cash Reconciliations

-Carry out service charge audits

-Ad- hoc duties


The successful Client Accountant will likely have the following attributes;

-Prior working knowledge within the property/ shipping/ financial services industry
-Sound knowledge of the accounts process, including the book entry process of clients/ investment companies
-A desire to grow a career with a highly reputable global business offering career progression
-Working knowledge of all ledgers
-Enthusiastic and willingness to learn
-Ability to work as part of a team
-Strong eye for detail

Job Offer

My client is willing to offer a salary from £20000 to £24000 (DOE) for the successful Client Accountant. In addition, my client will also offer a pension scheme, life assurance and a bonus (discretionary). Should study support be a key motivator my client is willing to provide full support.
