New Opportunity

You’re a Finance professional with proven experience in providing financial support to a small but growing business, including the provision of monthly management accounts and other business critical financial information. Now you’re keen to use your skills on exciting new challenges: playing a key part in the growth of our activities.

Who is my client? Founded in 2014, my client provides a range of contract clinical research services. Offering bespoke solutions tailored to each development project through an extensive network of freelance associates with a range of complementary offerings from strategic partners. They have ambitious growth plans, both for the UK and internationally, and the right candidate will enjoy an exciting and varied work portfolio.

To join the team you’ll have previous experience as a Finance Business Partner, or similar role, within a project focused environment supporting long term contracts and be used to working in a fast paced office providing a comprehensive financial support service. The right candidate will have proven experience in book keeping and the completion of monthly management accounts as well as the confidence to work with Board level directors and external stakeholders to support them in understanding and interpreting these accounts. Working alongside the Finance Director, you will be able to interpret and understand the financial impact of current projects on the business and be competent to complete regular project forecasting with the Key Account Managers. We’ll require you to manage the client invoicing, cash collection, credit control, supplier payment and VAT processes. You’ll regularly provide dashboard metrics to support financial decisions and you’ll play a key role in the annual budget setting process. Liaison and information provision to the external accountants and tax advisors will also be an important part of the role. With excellent interpersonal and communications skills and strong organisational skills, you’ll have a proven ability to work confidentially as well as on your own initiative. You’ll be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programmes and have an ability to concentrate on the detail and quality of your work at all times.

My client is flexible on the need for formal accounting qualifications but the experience detailed above is a prerequisite. It is also important to understand that, while book keeping is a necessary part of the role, my client operates in a low transaction volume environment.

If you have the talents we’re looking for, this could be your chance to join this growing team.

Please note we do not accept applications from agencies and you must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

To apply, please send your CV, quoting job reference AC/JMC02.

If we think you’ve got potential, we’ll be in touch within 5 working days.
