If yes, NSL have really exciting opportunities for Environmental Enforcement Officers to help make London a greener and safer city. As an Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will be part of our Environmental Services Team, involved in promoting public awareness of environmental issues and environmental crimes.



You will be working on a shift basis, including weekends, with varying hours. You will spend most of your time outside, talking to members of the public, enforcing relevant legislation to achieve clean and safe streets and open spaces. You’ll be responding to problems such as litter, fly tipping, dog fouling and associated anti-social behaviour.



What you will be doing…




Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriate
Record witness statements and conduct interviews under caution when necessary
Validate and verify personal details of offenders
Prepare and submit relevant cases for prosecution



Build good working relationships with key service areas and other key agencies including the Police
Educating the public and the community about the environment, giving them the knowledge and the facts about how it effects them and what they can do to help make London greener




About you…




Passionate about the environment and making London a greener place to live
Able to write reports
Basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
Enjoy speaking with all people from local residents to Councillors
Willing to offer support and advice
