Fantastic Opportunity for an experienced Test Support Engineer to join my clients rapidly expanding Operations team,

Role is responsible for the following - 

Position Summary:

This role is designed for a technically motivated and experienced hard and software Engineer, who will work an abridged role between engineering development and operational production engineering.

Responsible for maintaining a clear and strong two way link between the two functions, Product Development and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the teams to ensure understanding and product knowledge is at the latest level to assist in rolling out updates in software and hardware.
  • Support software / hardware development testing ensuring releases are fully understood and transferrable to manufacturing.
  • Support field returns with initial analysis, and feedback results to the development team in a structured way.
  • Work with our production partners to improve product testing and failure analysis / de bugging issues during the production cycle
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and selected organisations to achieve mutual goals
  • Keeping customers updated on progress of work to resolve issues.
  • On occasion support the installation team on customer sites setting up the clients products.
  •  Requirements:

  • Degree in technical / electronic engineering preferred or technical education and sound technical knowledge.
  • Several years of experience in a Technical electronic / development (hardware and software) position in a production engineering environment.
  • Software experience including: Cscript, VBscript, C/C++, JavaScript, JAVA, Unix, M2M data communications and experience working with Wi-Fi products a plus.
  • Impeccable relationship skills and a confident and professional manner in working in a cross functional team role
  • Technical aptitude to understand our products, component hardware and software.
  • Self-starter with an eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong organizational abilities, as well as good spoken and written communication skills
  • A lateral thinker with a high degree of computer literacy.
  • Experience with software / hardware product maintenance and enhancements.
  • Ability to gather detailed product / production information for product analysis & proposed performance enhancements through prepared reports
  • Ability to read and understand hardware / component schematics and wiring diagrams as part of fault tree diagnosis.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and implement technical hardware/software solutions to enhance product / production performance
  • Experience with production statistical analysis techniques, manufacture test methodologies to maximise quality using SPC, factory logging systems and functional test strategies which align with six-sigma and FMEA process practices
