They are now looking to add a new 3rd Line Storage & Backup Technical Support Engineer to join their EMEA Technical Support division in Reading. 

More now than ever, protecting/backup of data is so important for business’s big and small. They assist organizations with data backup and recovery, cloud and infrastructure management along with retention and compliance. 

Due to their continued success’ and achievements they have seen a mass amount of growth achieving 20% growth year on year for the past 6 years. This has seen my client lead the market against major competitors such as EMC, Veritas, Veeam, ArcServe and HP. 

Position Overview 

This position will see you join my client’s EMEA Technical Support Specialist team.

You will be fully trained and certified in my client’s market leading product and be responsible for supporting their Global Enterprise customer and partner base across the EMEA region.

You will be responsible for complex troubleshooting deep dive tricky issues around my client’s product, but also troubleshooting issues across Windows OS, Windows Server, Storage and Backup technology.

You will be an escalation point within the department and own tickets from initial pick up all the way to working with our talent development team to solve these complex issues.

The Experience we are looking for!

·Strong knowledge and experience working with the Windows OS and Windows Server 2012 upwards.

·Experience with Networking and troubleshooting connectivity, name resolution, and performance based issues with OS and/or hardware

·A strong knowledge and practical experience working with Active Directory.

·A good understanding and experience with RAID

·Experience working with Tape Drives and Tape Libraries in both SCSI and SAN configurations.

·Experience working across either: NetApp, EMC/Dell, HDS, HP or EqualLogic Storage technology.

·Any experience with DeDuplication, would be beneficial – but is not essential.

·Experience working in Virtualisation environments would be a benefit.

·Experience working with a Backup technology such as: CommVault, NetBackup/BackupExec, Veeam, ArcServe, Data Protector or any other backup technology would be a benefit

·Excellent Customer Interaction skills, being able to gather incident details, keep customers up to date throughout the process and knowing not to talk about Reverse DNS if you end up to talking to non-techy!

·A proven ability to multi-task and show exceptional time management skills in a fast paced environment.

·A strong team player who is able to communicate well with multiple teams in the department as well as other teams in the Australia and American regions.

·An entrepreneurial spirit, a person who loves to take on new challenges who can also demonstrate strong self-learning abilities.
