A well establish UK leading financial advice company is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead our growing Compliance Team based at Head Office in Ongar. Bower Group incorporates Bower Retirement, Bower Mortgages and Bower Private Clients.

Main Duties:

Implementing, developing, and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with legal guidelines, and internal policies.

Understanding and interpretation of changes to regulations impacting the business, and to close any gaps identified.

Keep up to date with legislation, regulation and best practices.

Contribute towards a robust company Training & Competence Scheme.

Develop effective training programs on compliance matters including appropriate training for new and existing advisers.

Review compliance plans, and updating policies and procedures when required.

Producing KPI’s and other management information, analysing and reporting this data to Senior Management as and when required.

Day to day managing, motivating, delegating tasks, and providing feedback to the individuals in the compliance team.

Quarterly presentations of compliance issues at our in-house meetings.

Key Skills:

We are looking for someone with the following skill set:

Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience in compliance,

An In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping

Experience working within Financial Services

Work well under pressure

Ability to build relationships and implement change

Good management and communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Experience of dealing with the FCA
