We are leading Mediterranean food importers and distributors in the area and looking for a experienced Credit Controller to join the team on a part time basis (we can be flexible on the hours).

It is exciting times for the company - we have gone through a merger recently and with a doubled turnover we are looking to continue to grow and expand further. We are looking for a 'hands on' Credit Controller with 'can do' attitude and energy who can take the lead and run the credit control function in the company, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Hours of work:

• 10AM - 3PM (25 p/week)

Salary:

£20K - £24K pro rata

Duties:

• Post all customer receipts from the bank statement to Sage Accounts package

• Prepare and post to the system cash and cheques receipts from customers

• Prepare banking and bank twice per week

• Weekly aged debtors report for the Financial Controller (FC)

• Liaise with customers / reps in chasing the overdue customer balances by email, phone or post

• Liaise with reps and the sales team regarding customer accounts on hold

• Monitor overdue customer accounts and place on hold as required

• Prepare and send monthly customer statements

• Adhoc office duties

Skills required

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook

• Previous credit control experience

• Excellent interpersonal / people’s skills

• 'Can do’ attitude

• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
