Risk, processes & controls specialists across front/middle office and multiple asset classes. £35,000-75,000 + benefits.

Sought to deliver best-practice strategies to leading FS clients

This pre-eminent advisory firm is growing its product & controls risk team, as they experience continued growth in demand for their strategic and investigative services.

The work focused on delivering strategic operational advice and investigation services to banks around the trading of specific financial instruments (equities; FX; bonds), including the more complex forms of derivative trading.

They need to hire a number of people to help develop their centres of excellence internally and thereby their overall service offerings. At these levels, you will be very hands-on in the delivery of work, with the chance to take the lead on certain projects and teams, and plenty of scope for future promotion.

It is possible either to specialise in one or to work across both of the following types of project:

Market Reform - Here, you will be working with trading clients to improve their processes and controls so that they are better protected against front, middle and back office risk, such as:

    • LIBOR and EURIBOR manipulation
    • Mis-selling of financial instruments

This work is less about investigating wrongdoers and more about developing new ways to enhance risk management with specific focus on wholesale banking process and controls.

Disputes and Litigation - On this side, the work revolves more around forensic analysis and understanding of alleged wrongdoing, where you would bring your banking product knowledge to the fore in collaboration with forensics investigation experts.

The work is varied beyond these cores and, depending on your experience and skillset, there is the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of capital markets operational, product and risk advisory work.
