We are looking for an enthusiastic family support worker to undertake a wide range of responsibilities. While no formal qualifications are required, you will need good written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate resilience and flexibility and have good observation and assessment skills. You should have experience of direct work with children and families and be able to work purposefully under pressure. The ability to prioritise and work both independently and as part of a team is essential to this role as well as building and maintaining relationships with partner agencies and service users. Successful candidates will be available to work evenings and weekends

The ability to travel within Aberdeenshire is essential. This is an Aberdeenshire wide service and we are particularly keen to develop coverage in central (Ellon/Inverurie) and south Aberdeenshire.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
