Hays have been retained by one of the leading contractors in Northern Ireland to resource an experienced Construction Planner on a fulltime and permanent basis. This main building contractor has been successfully operating throughout the UK & Ireland for over 50 years. They have developed a strong reputation for delivering design, build and cost solutions to a variety of clients including those operating in the property, renewable, commercial, pharmaceutical, educational and retail sectors. Due to continued success in being awarded new build contracts this company now requires a Construction Planner to be based in Northern Ireland.
Your new role
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Construction Planner will support the company by identifying, controlling and forecasting timescales and resource requirements whilst implementing best practice project planning policy, processed and procedures during the full life cycle of projects from tender through to completion.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be responsible for accurately identifying and forecasting the timescales and resource requirements for projects including labour, plant and materials. You will provide support for all construction planning functions ensuring that issues or irregularities within the programme are highlighted and understood by all. The successful candidate will represent the company at client meetings and assist in the continuous improvement of safety and performance.
