An exciting opportunity to lead on a project that works to identify and support older Camden residents:

POST: Community Connectors Project Manager - Ageing better in Camden

HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per week (full time) – job share will be considered

RESPONSIBLE TO: CEO and Chair of C4 and, ultimately, C4 Board of Trustees

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Community Connectors Staff Team

WORK BASE: Camden-wide with a central base

CONTRACT: 2 years initial contract – potential extension to 4 years

Background: Ageing Better in Camden Project:

The project is one of the key strands of carrying out the Ageing Better in Camden Project, being delivered by the Consortium of Camden Community Centres – C4. The project works to identify and support older Camden residents who are affected by issues relating to social isolation and loneliness, and to connect them to activities and opportunities through which they can improve their social activity and well-being, build new friendships and community links, and ultimately actively contribute themselves where possible. Purpose of the job:

The overall purpose of the Project Manager (PM) role is to lead the development and successful delivery of the Ageing Better in Camden Community Connectors Project (CCP).

Essential Criteria (please check full JD for additional criteria):

Degree or relevant qualificationUnderstanding and experience of working with older/vulnerable people and the issues affecting themUnderstanding of community developmentMinimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a similar settingMinimum of 2 years’ staff and project management experience and knowledge of HR and Employment practiceExperience of monitoring evaluation and/or measuring social impactExcellent Project Management and Development skillsRecruitment Process
